The Bronte Creek Watershed
From it's headwaters atop the Niagara Escarpment, this scenic creek faces many environmental challenges as it meanders through many small communities  before emptying into Lake Ontario in the town of Oakville.

The Ted Knott Chapter has adopted Bronte Creek to be a focal point within the region. This creek supports a healthy trout population today, but has much greater potential. A strategic plan has been drafted which will be used as a guideline to establish  priorities for protection and  rehabilitation of Bronte Creek.

For more information about Bronte Creek, see the Bronte Creek Watershed page.

We are currently investigating some habitat improvement projects around Courtcliffe Park and Carlisle Conservation Area in the community of Carlisle.

Collection of Water Temperature Data
Data logging devices that monitor water temperature have been installed in Bronte Creek and it's tributaries. Click here for details about this project.
