Stream Assessment  Day
October  13th, 2007

The Ted Knott Chapter was assisted by volunteers from GE Zenon and Jacques Whitford to conduct a stream assessment on part of Mountsberg Creek near the confluence with Bronte Creek in Courtcliffe Park, Carlisle. This workday was organized by TU Biologist Silvia D'amelio, and  focused on collecting information about the stream conditions in Courcliffe Park.

Extensive work has been done to remove online ponds at Courtcliffe Park where Mountsberg Creek joins Bronte Creek, however additional work needs to be done to narrow the channel of the creek and to improve fish habitat. Collecting information about the current conditions of the creek is a vital part of developing a long term rehabilitation plan for this location.
